It’s a long year

And he’s always in different time zones

But we send each other pictures

Just like, stuff we’re doing. His tour, the hotels . . . he seems to really like going to zoos.

And of each other.

Of course.

Some exams go past.

And then some more.

I got top marks in music. Which is funny

Cos I had to really fight to switch to it. But I been working on it, really working on it –

He keeps asking me to send him my songs.

But I don’t. Not yet.

Cos they’re all about him. Even if they’re not about him, when they’re about being hungry or angry or taking a dog for a walk – they’re really about him.

I think, when I have enough for an album, I’ll call it,

‘You.’

He’ll know what I mean.
